Kids Club

 

Hello and welcome to The Lizards Club here at The Leeds Wall.  The Club has members from age 6 to 17 of all abilities.  It's a great way to experience climbing in a safe environment.   Sessions are run on weekends and after school.  The Club is broken down in to three age/ability groups; Geckos, Chameleons and Dragons with each group being progressively older and more experienced.  Sessions are 1.5 hours in duration and are booked each half term throughout the year.  Children are offered recognition of their progress with the National Indoor Climbing Achievement Scheme (NICAS).       How do I join? Lizard Parents Climb for Free
If you are a Lizard parent who would also like to climb or would like to bring the children down for more climbing then we can offer you a Belay Course.  The Belay Course teaches the basics so that parents can become a member of the Leeds Wall.  As a member you can then bring the children in more often and you can climb for free while the children are on a Lizards Session.  To book just contact Bookings on 0113 2341554 or ask a member of our Reception Team who will be happy to help.

 

Youth Climbing Club
As a member your children can join the Youth Climbing Club (Youth CC) aimed at children coming down with their parents inbetween the Lizards sessions.  The Youth CC is £35 annually.  Members get the benefits of reduced entry price, shop discount & the options to join the Youth CC nights when a coach is available.  For further information please ask at reception.

Lizards T-shirts and Stickers
These are now available in red, blue and pink from The Leeds Wall Shop.  The Lizards Club stickers are free, just pop into the shop.  You can also get The Leeds Wall water bottles and t-shirts.

 

How do I join?

To join The Lizards Club you have to do a Lizards Intro Course.  This consists of 2 x 1.5 hour sessions. The course introduces the participants to basic climbing skills and safety information.  At the end of the course children are allocated to a group and registered.  Dates for these courses are just below.

 

How do I book the Lizard Intro Course?

To book for the Lizards Intro Course please contact Bookings on 0113 2341554 / 2442314.  In the mean time if you would like to come climbing please book the Holiday Climbing Club or a Taster Session.

You can also do the Holiday Climbing Camp day and get Lizards Club membership at the same time!

Please note payment is required at the time of booking.  Each child attending a session must have a consent form completed by either parent or legal guardian before participating.

 

Does the Lizards Club climb outside?

The Outdoor Climbing Club builds on the hugely popular Lizards Club.  It tends to show participants the joys of climbing on the real stuff.  This year we will be using a wide variety of venues throughout Yorkshire and the Peak District.

What do you need?

Only yourself!*  All equipment and instruction is included in the price of the Lizard related activities.

Prices

Lizards Intro: £20 for 3 hour course; free Leeds Wall water bottle
Lizard Club weekly session: £8.50 per session, book a block for 10% discount (please note bookings are based on half terms & this offer will only apply per member booked on the same session for all inclusive weeks.)
Outdoor Climbing Club: £45 per day; £25 per half day.

Following the booking weekend you may book at any time for remaining spaces. Please note that due to the popularity of the club bookings are made on a first come basis and that we are unable to move or offer refunds except in exceptional circumstances.
